Total Yarding: 1,598

Commentary

There was a small increase in supply to 1,598 lambs and grown sheep at Warwick. The yarding was very mixed with insufficient numbers of heavy lambs to allow all processors to operate which resulted in most lines selling to cheaper trends with restockers not as active on the store lambs.

Light weight young lambs to restockers sold from $48 to $96 back by $6 with processors paying from $66 to $76/head. Score 2 light weight lambs to wholesalers reduced by $1 and sold to $94.50 and averaged $90/head. Butcher weight lambs sold from $112 to $133/head. Trade weight lambs sold from $148 to $167 down by $2 with heavy lambs firm selling to $178 and averaging $175/head.

Hoggets to processors improved in price and sold to $114 and averaged $105/head. Merino ewes to restockers sold from $5 to $25/head. Light weight cross bred and dorper ewes to processors sold from $22 to $41 with the heavy ewes at $59 to $95/head with restockers paying to $170/head. Heavy wethers to processors sold from $50 to $92/head. Ram lambs to the wholesale meat trade made $110 to average $97/head. Merino rams to processors sold from $10 to $20 with dorper rams topping at $36/head.
