Commentary

Quality was generally fair to good as agents offered 200 liveweight and open auction cattle. The usual trade and processor buyers were joined by feeders, restockers and specialty butchers with prices generally firm to marginally dearer across the offering.

Vealers sold from 330c to 414c, trade steers ranged from 360c to 400c with heifers fetching 330c to 360c/kg.

Restocker steers sold from 300c to 390c with heifers fetching 240c to 330c/kg. Feeder steers ranged from 370c to 390c as heifers sold from 330c to 340c. Heavy steers sold from 340c to 389c with heifers fetching 280c to 300c/kg. Light cows sold from 180c to 270c with heavy cows ranging from 280c to 300c/kg.
