Don't pay too much for sheep EIDs

Total Yarding: 2,388

Commentary

There was a much smaller yarding of 2,388 sheep which included 1,601 lambs. Quality was good with mainly trade weights offered, along with several pens of heavy lambs, however there was not the number of heavy lambs offered as the previous sale.

Lambs sold firm to slightly easier in places with trades weights under 24kg selling from $190 to $235 while heavy trade weights sold from $230 to $240/head. Heavy and extra heavy lambs ranged from $230 to $340/head. Dorper lambs toped at $240/head.

The small offering of mutton met a firm market with ewes selling to $218 and wethers toped at $260/head.Dorper mutton reached a top price of $250/head.
