Commentary
Gunnedah numbers inceased by 900 head to offer 3200 mostly good quality cattle. The regular buyers attended and operated alongside two extra Southern cow buyers. Trends increased for most feeder categories particularly for the heavy categories. Quality was generally good with some plainer drafts in the mix.
Weaner steers to background 303c to 492c/kg heifers to 418c/kg. Light steers to background slipped 3c/kg 300c to 426c/kg. Light steers to process 270c to 336c/kg. Medium feeder steers 320c to 480c/kg. Feeder steers to 480kgs gained 6c/kg 370c to 484c/kg. Light heifers to background slipped 11c/kg 286c to 355c/kg. Similar weights to feed lifted 24c/kg 308c to 350c/kg. Medium feeders 330c to 414c/kg. Heavy feeders gained 5c/kg 320c to 415c/kg.
Grown steers 364c to 432c/kg and grown heifers to process 320c to 360c/kg. Heavy cows 10c/kg better 310c to 351c/kg. Medium cows 174c to 262c/kg. Heavy bulls were 18c/kg cheaper 260c to 332c/kg.
