Report Date: 11th November 2025

Total Yarding: 4,300

Commentary

Numbers more than doubled from the previous market with a yarding of 4300 cattle. It was a mixed quality yarding with a good supply of heavy cows, feeders and lighter conditioned cattle. Most under 400kg went to strong competition from backgrounders and feedlot buyers with many going across the border into Queensland feedlots. Most of the regular buyers were in attendance and operating in a market that sold to a dearer trend with some lines slightly cheaper due to quality.

Young cattle to the trade were up to 27c/kg dearer with prime vealers and yearlings selling from 340c to 496c/kg. Feeder steers and heifers were up to 20c dearer with feeder steers selling from 480c to 512c/kg and feeder heifers 320c to 463c/kg. Young cattle to restockers and backgrounders were firm to 30c/kg dearer, with young steers selling from 380c to 532c/kg and young heifers from 350c to 463c/kg.

Grown steers and heifers to process were significantly dearer with prime grown steers selling from 420c to 499c/kg and similar heifers to 452c/kg. With one major cow buyer not operating and increased numbers, cows to process were generally firm to cheaper. Two and three scores sold from 316c to 395c/kg and prime heavyweight 4 score cows sold to 430c/kg. Heavy bulls to process sold to 410c/kg.
