Light weight yearling steers returning to the paddock averaged 5c/kg better and more on well bred lines. Yearling steers to feed for the domestic market averaged 8c to 13c/kg dearer. A large variation in the quality of the heavy weight yearling steers to feed allowed average prices to ease. Light weight yearling heifers to restockers averaged 5c/kg dearer. Medium weight yearling heifers to feed improved by 4c to 7c and a lift in the standard of the heavy weights resulted in gains of 16c/kg. Heavy grown steers and bullocks averaged 5c to 7c/kg better. Cows averaged 2c to 4c/kg cheaper against the reduced prices of the previous sale.
