Lamb marking products on sale

Commentary

Numbers remained similar to last week with 4600 lambs penned. Quality was mixed with mainly trade weights penned with limited store types. There were good runs of heavy trade weights which were eagerly sort after. Not all the regular buyers were present.

Lightweight processing lambs to 18kg gained $15 selling from $60 to $110/head. Trade lambs 20kg to 24Kg were also $15 dearer, they sold between $122 and $176/head. Heavyweight lambs over 24Kg were $6 dearer, $177 to $212/head. The best of the hoggets reached $130/head.

There was 1900 mixed quality mutton yard where prices were $15 to $20 stronger. Merino ewes sold from $15 to $90 and crossbred ewes, $55 to $116/head. Merino wethers reached $68 and crossbreds $80/head. Rams sold to $20/head.
