Commentary
With scattered showers Roma Agents were still able to yard 7,414 head 1,776 less than the previous sale. Cattle were drawn from a large area of Queensland as well as S.A.. All the regular processors feedlotters and backgrounders present and active. With the pressure of the large numbers prices continue to soften.
At the time of this interim report Light weight yearling steers under 200kg topped 412c/kg. Yearling steers 200 to 280kg also made to 414c/kg with the 280 to 330kg lost ground selling from 296c to 422c/kg. Yearling steers 330 to 400kg sold to 388c/kg. The 400 to 480kg yearling steers made to 348c/kg. Grown steers 500 to 600kg sold from 226c to 338c/kg. The best of the heavy weight bulls to 258c/kg.
